We arrived in New Orleans and checked into our hotel. We were starving! I asked a guy at the hotel where we could get some authentic New Orleans food, he sent us to Johnny's for a po-boy. This was a first for me and it was DELISH!
This sandwich consists of fried shrimp, mayo, shredded lettuce on a fresh french roll. Oh my! Forget counting calories, but we did split it =)
We walked around the french quarter during the day. I liked all the old buildings and all the decorations for upcoming Marti Gras.
We had to try a hurricane and holy moly they are huge and don't skimp on the booze.
Good times in NOLA with my man, but boy I missed my kiddos.
We still had one more stop in San Antonio for the day. We left at the crack of dawn (almost missed our ride) and landed in the morning and got a rental car. I dropped off Matt at his customer's and drove around the city looking for something to do. I ended up at Target. I go all the way to Texas and end up at Target. Sad.
I picked up Matt and we headed to The River Walk in downtown. We had lunch outside next to the little river and walked around. Very cool place with lots of shops and restaurants.
Overall, we had a great trip!
